The HELP Foundation Team has returned to normal operations from deployment in Kentucky. The team has shifted its focus on the next big thing, which will be an exercise of the Incident Management Team (IMT) on May 16th at the Houston Emergency Center. The full team will be in operation in preparation for the upcoming hurricane season. Additionally, the team will participate in a training session of technology held in Conroe, Texas late April. HELP Foundation Stands Up Volunteer Reception Center In Salyersville, Kentucky

Kentucky – The HELP Foundation, a provider of disaster management services is on the ground in Salyersville, Kentucky as part of the recovery effort following a line of destructive tornado activity that ripped across their state and others.

Salyersville, located in Magoffin County, is just one of several locations recently pummeled by tornadoes. The HELP Foundation saw a need and is in Salyersville to service first responders and the community. The response is part of the Foundation’s mission to serve communities before, during and after disasters.  

Kentucky State Incident Management personnel requested the HELP Foundation on the scene in Salyersville. "This response is an example of the specialized nature of the HELP Foundation team. The Foundation's success in volunteer management was proven during tornado outbreaks in both Alabama and Missouri in 2011." says Tony Lamberth, President of the HELP Foundation.

The HELP Foundation continues to support volunteer management needs and currently has agreements in place with the city of Houston, Texas to respond during times of disaster.

"This is what we do and we do it because we are asked. This response proves that the challenges we experience are so great during today's turbulent landscape. Volunteers will essentially be the responders and they must be coordinated at an experienced management level to succeed." says Tony Lamberth.

The Volunteer Reception Center is currently staged at the Magoffin County Rescue Squad.
